Which programmes are there and who are they for?

Four paths. mu. Foundation (€499 one-time) is the entry point: 10 sessions of 45 minutes with a baseline, a practice plan and a closing recording. mu. Lessons (€199 per month, cancel monthly) is ongoing mentoring with four sessions a month. mu. Academy is the flagship over twelve months with 40 Academy weeks, labs and quarterly reviews. mu. Accelerator works towards one goal defined up front, in 90 or 180 days. Academy and Accelerator are offered after a Strategy Call, where the price is discussed.

Can I start as a complete beginner?

Yes — that is what mu. Foundation is for. We start where you actually are, not where a curriculum says. Beginners also get the foundation commitment: within 30 days of your first session you will play your first complete piece, provided you attend your sessions and bring your weekly assignment. If it does not work out, we continue at no extra cost until it does.

What exactly is the 180-day stage commitment?

With mu. Academy and mu. Accelerator you will perform in front of an audience within 180 days of starting. Any performance counts — open mic, jam session, church service, student concert, local event. Conditions: at least 80% of sessions attended, weekly assignments done, at least one offered opportunity taken up. If it still does not happen, I keep working with you at no extra cost. The conditions are in clause 11 of the terms, not just on the website.

Who teaches me?

I do, personally, from the first session to the stage. No rotating teachers and no stand-in lesson with someone who does not know you.

Question 5

Are there group sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in addition to your one-to-one sessions. They are announced in the booking app, where you accept or decline, and you can change your answer up to the session. You are entitled to group sessions only where your programme expressly provides for them.

Question 6

How do I book my sessions?

Accepted Answer

After purchase or activation you book yourself in the booking app from the times offered. You need an account with the same email address you used at purchase — your allowance is then linked automatically.

Question 7

How long are my sessions valid?

Accepted Answer

As long as your programme runs, plus one week. For mu. Foundation that is three months and a week; for mu. Lessons one month and a week per paid month. The exact date is in your account and in your contract confirmation.

Question 8

What happens to sessions I do not use?

They expire on the validity date. So it does not catch you out, we remind you 30 days, 7 days and one day beforehand — by email and in your inbox. If you need more time, request an extension in your account beforehand with a brief reason. In cases of illness, accident or similar circumstances beyond your control we extend.

Can I cancel an appointment?

Free of charge up to 24 hours before the start — the session returns to your allowance. If you cancel later or do not attend, it counts as used unless you show good cause. If I have to cancel, you get an alternative promptly and your validity is extended accordingly.

Online or in person?

Accepted Answer

Both, depending on the programme. In-person sessions take place at Bruchweg 1 in Recklinghausen. For online sessions you need a stable connection and a device with camera and microphone — you get the video link with your booking confirmation.

Question 11

How do I pay?

Via Stripe, with all payment methods available there. For the membership the amount is collected automatically each month; you do not transfer anything yourself. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act I do not show VAT. You receive an invoice in text form.

Question 12

When is the contract concluded?

With your order. There is no paper contract and no signature — right afterwards you receive a contract confirmation by email, with the full contract, the terms and the withdrawal notice. It is also available at any time in your member area.

Question 13

Can I withdraw?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within 14 days without giving reasons. Because you expressly request that we start immediately, you owe proportionate compensation if you withdraw after partial use: if you took 3 of 10 sessions, 3/10 of the price remains and the rest is refunded. Details are in the withdrawal notice.

How do I cancel the membership?

Via the cancellation page, without logging in, or in the member area of your account. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month if it arrives at least ten days beforehand — otherwise at the end of the following one. We confirm receipt immediately in text form, with the exact end date.

What about fixed-term programmes?

They end automatically; no notice needed. You may postpone the start once by up to six months, and during the term a break of up to two months is possible — your allowance validity is extended accordingly.

Do I need my own instrument?

Not necessarily to start, but yes for practising between sessions — that is where progress happens. Which instrument makes sense and what it should cost, we clarify in the first session, before you buy anything.

How much do I need to practise?

Regularity beats duration. After each session you get a concrete weekly assignment — that is the measure, not a number of minutes. Do it and you move forward.

What is the minimum age?

Children, teenagers and adults are welcome. I conclude contracts only with adults: for minors, the legal guardians book in their own name.

What if the technology fails?

If it is on my side, you get a replacement appointment. If it is on yours, the session counts as used — still get in touch, we usually find a solution. Before your first online session we test picture and sound together.
